Fox Advisors is a boutique sell side equity research firm focused on providing in-depth intelligence using unique, proprietary methods and corporate access to understand trends in electronics supply chains, automotive technologies, and a wide set of storage products. With such a wide range of expertise, Fox Advisors is able to leverage deep industry contacts and alternative macrodata that is used to provide unparalleled and opinionated research depth and accuracy.

Our research on the technology supply chain centers heavily on component technologies (from Corning’s Gorilla Glass and optical fiber to electronic connectors and sensors from TE Connectivity, Amphenol and Sensata) plus distributors of components (Arrow and Avnet) and EMS providers (Jabil and Flex) that build complex designs for Amazon, Cisco, Ford, Johnson & Johnson, NetApp, and others.

When it comes to auto technology, we focus on Transportation-as-a Service companies such as Bird, Lyft and Uber, but also the technologies on their roadmaps including mapping, AI and machine learning algorithms, sensors, full autonomous vehicle technology and certain functions in between that are being developed by companies such as Aptiv.

Finally, our coverage in the storage sector consists of everything from hard disk drives (HDDs), to NAND flash memory, DRAM, all the way up to full storage arrays and associated software.

Founder and CEO Steven Fox launched Fox Advisors following 25+ years of sell side equity research experience at Cross Research, an independent research provider, and Merrill Lynch, where he covered supply chain and technology OEMs.

During his time at Merrill, Steven was recognized on Institutional Investor’s All-American Research Team in all five years that he was eligible, including a second team ranking in 2007 and 2008.

Throughout his many years in the industry, Steven has covered companies and markets in North America, Europe, and Asia, lending him a unique worldly perspective encompassing all companies in his coverage universe.

 

Fox Advisors consists of Founder & CEO Steven Fox, Vice President Aneesha Patel, and a nationwide sales and marketing team powered by Analyst Hub. Steven saw an opportunity with Analyst Hub to take his business to the next level while maintaining the independence of an IRP in order to cover electronics supply chains, including a special focus on how they relate to storage and automotive technologies. Steve brings twenty-five years of sell side equity research experience following the technology supply chain to his clients, including a deep “on the ground” understanding from years of consistently meeting with senior managers, attending trade shows and visiting operating facilities across North America, Europe and Asia. Steve has a long history of following a range of critical industries to the supply chain, including connectors, sensors, printed circuit boards and other passive components as well as electronics manufacturing services and distribution. Over the past several years, Steve expanded his research practices focused on the storage industry, to move beyond HDDs, to cover NAND, DRAM and full array systems. Steve also expanded coverage of auto technologies to include complex roadmaps tied to active safety (e.g. radar, compute modules, associated software), transportation-as-a-service (TaaS) plus automated mobility on demand (AMoD).Most recently, Steve was Managing Director at Cross Research, a well-known independent provider amongst institutional investors of technology equity research, from 2011 until 2020. Prior experience includes as a Managing Director at CLSA (Credit Agricole Securities USA) from 2009 until 2011 where he coordinated research efforts with analysts in Asia as well as the U.S. from his coverage of the supply chain and certain technology OEMs. In addition, Steve covered the supply chain while at Merrill Lynch from 1995 until early-2009 where he was recognized on Institutional Investor’s All-American Research Team in all five years that he was eligible, including a second team ranking in 2007 and 2008. Steve graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Aneesha was recently promoted to Vice President from Senior Associate at Fox Advisors. Aneesha previously worked at Cross Research as an Associate for Steve Fox from 2016 through 2020 where she was an integral member of the research team focused on the technology supply chain, storage industry (HDDs, NAND, DRAM, full array systems) as well as companies enabling next generation automotive technologies, including active safety, transportation-as-a-service (TaaS) and automated mobility on demand (AMoD). Prior to joining Cross Research, Aneesha completed her master’s degree in Finance at Washington University in St. Louis in 2016 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Statistics from Rutgers University in 2015.
